The CLARION® Bionic Ear™
Capabilities of a new electronic platform and first clinical results

Advanced Bionics recently introduced the CLARION Bionic Ear and the BTE sound processor. The CLARION Bionic Ear represents a new generation of implant electronics, which allows the transmission not only of subsets of sound or speech but the full sound signal. The newly introduced BTE Sound Processor is capable to run all current and future strategies. New Hi-Resolution speech coding strategies are under development. Preliminary clinical results of those strategies and first reports on the use of the BTE will be presented.
